ANTIQUE & VINTAGE ITEM NOTE — PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING
This is a pre-owned antique item and has had a life and history before arriving at Edition Styles. Antique and vintage pieces are not new and should not be expected to have the appearance or condition of newly manufactured merchandise.
Due to the age and pre-owned nature of antique and vintage items, pieces may show signs of previous use, handling, display, cleaning, storage, and natural aging. Depending on the item, this may include patina, tarnishing, oxidation, discoloration, surface wear, scratches, scuffs, small marks, finish or plating wear, darkened areas, spotting, residue, minor dents, variations in texture or color, and other age-related characteristics. These characteristics can be expected with antique and vintage objects and are part of their individual history.
We carefully inspect, photograph, and describe our antique and vintage pieces to the best of our ability. Any significant or notable flaws observed during our inspection will be disclosed in the individual listing description and/or shown in the photographs. However, due to the age and history of antique and vintage items, very small, subtle, or previously unnoticed signs of age or wear may be present.
Descriptions such as “beautiful antique condition,” “good antique condition,” “excellent antique condition,” or similar wording refer to the item’s condition in relation to its age and antique nature and do not mean that the piece is flawless, unused, or in new condition.
Please carefully review all photographs before purchasing. Photographs are considered an important part of the item’s condition description. We encourage customers to enlarge and examine the photographs carefully, including photographs of the surfaces, underside, hardware, markings, edges, and other details when provided.
Unless specifically identified and stated in the individual listing, we do not guarantee exact metal composition, plating thickness, wood species, glass composition, ceramic composition, stone composition, or other material content. Material descriptions are based on available markings, known maker information, appearance, construction, provenance, and/or our best assessment of the item.
Any date or era provided is based on available maker information, markings, pattern or model information, construction, design, style, provenance, and/or our best assessment. Unless an exact manufacturing date is documented and specifically stated as confirmed, antique and vintage dating should be considered an estimate.
Measurements are taken by hand and are approximate, and slight variations may occur. Colors, finishes, patina, metal tones, textures, and other details may also appear somewhat different in person due to photography lighting, camera settings, editing, reflections, surrounding light, and individual screen/display settings.
Antique and vintage items can become more delicate with age. We recommend handling them carefully and using cleaning and care methods appropriate for the particular material and age of the piece. Edition Styles cannot guarantee compatibility with a particular candle, accessory, replacement part, or modern component unless specifically stated in the individual listing.
